About

I’m Amber Amotegui, a multimedia producer and content writer based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The bulk of my work is centered around podcast production.

As an undergrad journalism student, I wasn't sure which storytelling medium I wanted to explore. And, to be honest, I didn't give podcasts much thought! But I was hooked the first time I heard a narrative-style podcast (Invisibilia’s “The Weatherman”). My entire career path changed.

I interned at my local NPR member station, WLRN.FM, in the summer of 2020. I reported on social justice protests, small businesses surviving the pandemic, and Generation Z’s push for social reform.

From there, I became the Lead Content Producer of The Florida Podcast Network. I produced interview-style shows for both independent clients and the network.

I also do tape syncs anywhere in South Florida. Some production companies I’ve field produced for include Slate, Novel, High Five Content, and Dear Media.

I’m available for freelance content writing, scripting, and podcast producing/editing gigs. Please feel free to reach out here.

Outside of work, you can find me rollerblading, playing basketball, or somewhere at the beach.
